Taking birthday trips has become one of my *favorite* things to do! So when my mom had an upcoming birthday, we seized the opportunity to plan a trip back to Lake Lure, NC.
We like Lake Lure because it’s quiet, but also interesting – with a cute little shopping area, a “beach” area on the Lake, and nearby Chimney Rock State Park, there are plenty of things to do! Our campground is located in close proximity to an Ingles which features a Starbucks, so we don’t even have to fuss with camp coffee (though we still do, we’re a bunch of caffeinated fools).
We really enjoyed out stay, though it ended up raining and we had to find indoor activities to keep ourselves entertained. Stay tuned for more details on where we ended up exploring!
