Stock Island is the next key over from Key West, and an easy place to head for dinner if you’re hoping to beat some of the crowds. The little extra bit of distance deters the foot traffic, and makes for shorter wait times. We headed over to Stock Rock Cafe during sunset (ie, peak times) and were happy to wait for a few minutes in exchange for a spot on the dock!
Joey snagged the fried plantains and an avocado burger while I opted for grilled fish tacos. They were delicious but the wonderful surprise were the fries! I absolutely loved the fries, the perfect mix of crispy edges, hot tasty insides and salt. Trust me, not to be missed!
